I, Carpet

I was asked to take part in a project creating carpets to be made by a fair-trade company in Nepal. For some reason I got it into my head that I wanted a sentient carpet - it says "I, carpet": what does it feel when you walk on a sentient carpet? It contains geometric patterns of birds, cats, mice and dogs. Upon submission I was told “no words”; so the design was never used.
