ARCHIVE
I worked—and occasionally still work—as a designer or a an artist-for-hire in the graphic design industry. While this work draws on my artistic pool of interests, it is “inspired” by the client, and honed for the subject. I use this word “inspired” carefully, but with it I mean that a client comes to me needing “x”, and it is “x” which is the springboard. That dive usually returns something that I would not have pursued on my own, but it both comes from and returns to my body of work. Design to me is structure and rationality; it is “figuring things out,” in a way that is more imposing than in other modes of thought.
This section has quite a way to go before it’s complete.
